Whispers in Flight

Silent wings, whispered dreams

Lost in a language she can't seem to keep

She tries to rise, her voice a flicker,

Words in a dance, a trembling shiver,

French melodies echo, her heart feels torn,

Longing for words in a tongue she’s sworn.

Oh, she wants to sing clear and bright,

Speak her truth in the language of light.

Hoping her words will find their way,

To be understood someday.

Fallen angel, whisper so low,

Yearning to let her feelings show,

Wishing she could say what’s in her soul,

In English, to make her whole.

Lights flicker in her weary eyes,
