🎵 Before the Flood
(Mike White – Cloudwalker Music)
Intro (0:00–0:25)
(Soft piano / bass heartbeat, light strings swelling)
Mike White Cloudwalker Music.
Yeah… this one’s for the beginning —
before the flood.
Verse 1 (0:25–1:10)
What do you know about women having babies,
before birth — before that first cry?
I’m no professor from a school,
I’m a professor of the street, and I’ve lived my why.
You ask me, “What’s the reverse of a child before rebirth?”
Good question — I’ll answer it from my own Earth.
I wasn’t educated, but I’m professional in pain,
first came the egg, then the body took its frame.
They slapped me into fear,
taught me early not to remember where I came from.
I was floatin’ in that water like a calm Aquaman,
peaceful, untouched, like a song not yet sung.
Pre-Hook (1:10–1:25)
Everything around me was still and warm,
the sound was thick, no reason to mourn.
I was comfortable — just missin’ a cigar,
before the flood, before the scar.
(Background vocals)
“Oooh, before the flood…”
Hook (1:25–1:55)
Now these days have changed,
I’m that young blood in a new age.
They try to mark me, define me, name me —
but I was born from a wave, you can’t contain me.
(Choir hums softly)
“Shoop… slide from the belly…
Water break free, born steady…”
Verse 2 (1:55–2:35)
How can a man remember his own beginning?
Doc said, “Something different ‘bout this one — he’s winning.”
Nurse said, “Find the biggest pin you can find,”
and my daughter cried, “Put security by his side.”
Not even two minutes in the world,
and I was already carryin’ another soul inside.
Mike White Cloudwalker said, “That’s my baby,”
but the world said, “Beware — he’s born with fire in his eyes.”
Hook 2 (2:35–3:05)
Babies in the house, babies out,
beware, beware — hear the newborn shout.
Feelin’ free — I’ve been a bad boy since birth,
learned pain early, but I still found worth.
(Backgrounds)
“Born in the flood… reborn through the dirt…”
Bridge (3:05–3:25)
I could go deeper into the mystery of birth,
but there’s no need — truth speaks for itself first.
You don’t question your president’s word,
so don’t question life — respect how it stirred.
Final Hook / Outro (3:25–4:00)
Birth is birth, and first is first,
came through the water, broke through the curse.
Mike White Cloudwalker said, “Whose child is this?”
The one who remembers the flood — and still exists.
(Background vocals fade out)
“Oooh… before the flood…
reborn in love…” Keep that baby from the nursery all of them girls are pregnant. This child wouldn't even born 3 minutes ago
