Knees in Prayer

On my knees, shadows fall, whispers of a heavy call

Silent prayers, trembling hands, trying to understand

I carried a secret deep inside, a lie I couldn't hide

A moment of weakness, I regret, a truth I have to set

But the weight's too much to bear, I need to find some air

Lord, give me strength, to face the dawn, to make amends and carry on

Help me find the courage to be true, to let the light break through

Guide me through this stormy night, lead me into daylight

Give me the strength to tell what's real, to heal wounds that I conceal

Me acting like a phoney full of guile
