Shadows in My Heart

Silent echoes, shadows long

Hearts ormai guarded, feeling wrong

Once I was open, believed in trust

Now walls are rising, wrecks of past dust

False accusations like burning sparks

Left me lost, torn apart

Can’t forget the hurt, can’t forget the sting

Building these walls, so I don’t feel the pain

Trying to heal, trying to move on

But the past keeps calling, keeps me drawn

Never again, I won’t let you in

Locking my heart, fear of the wind

Trust is broken, shredded by lies

Walking alone with guards held high

Maybe someday, I’ll learn to mend

But for now, I can’t pretend
