Nightmare

Silence growing in the air,

Something waiting on the stairs,

Whispers rising from below,

Footsteps moving soft and slow.

You blame the dark, you blame the night

But I'm the voice behind your fright.

You can turn away,

But the darkness wants to stay~

I'll keep screaming,

I know that I'm dreaming,

Danger's coming,

The lights are fading.

Shadows watching with a silent stare,

Dark surrounds me, it's my nightmare.

Running through the dark, no escape, no light,

Voices in my head keep me all night.

Echoes in my mind, yeah they calling my name,

Every single step feels the same old pain.

Lights going out, now I'm lost in the glare.

Trapped in a loop with cold empty stare,

Trying to but I'm caught in a snare.
