Shadows and Light

This is my story, my silent fight

Holding back the storms inside, day and night

They say keep quiet, but I wear my heart on my sleeve

In the shadows of my mind, where I learn to grieve

Music heals my wounds, a melody so true

Loving fiercely, but I love hard, it's what I do

Distant from the chaos, seeking peace in my own way

Putting feelings on hold, just to make it through the day

I'm an overthinker, lost in the thought's maze

Taking every word, caught in this mental phase

Remembering more negatives, they cloud my sunny days

But I keep dancing in the rain, finding my own blaze

Gave myself too many chances, now I'm learning slow

My heart's a fortress, but I want to let love show

Through the shadows and the doubts, I find my light

In the darkness, I ignite, ready for new heights

This is me, unfiltered, learning to be free

Knowing who I am, and that’s enough for me.
