Shadows in the Dark

Whispers creeping like a secret in the night

Echoes clash and fade a never-ending fight

Footsteps follow though there's no one around

In the dark I’m lost but the silence is loud

Shadows in the dark they’re calling out my name

Dancing on the walls playing their cold games

No escape around me they always lurk

Shadows in the dark it’s like they’ve done their work

Broken streetlights flicker dreams I try to chase

Fading out of sight like ghosts without a face

The moon’s my only witness to this endless haze

Wading through the night a labyrinth of maze

It's heavy it’s hollow where do I belong

These shadows keep humming their haunted song

They’re pulling on my soul like a marionette

A shadow puppet show of a life I can’t forget
