Fragments of Me

Built in shadows, stitched by longing,

Empty shell, my heart's unevolved,

In a mirror, I see fragments,

Of a life I’ve never solved.

Adopted in a quiet town,

Lost in a face I can't claim,

Searching for a piece of me,

In a canvas filled with shame.

So I took a little of the brave,

A dash of those I looked up to,

Melded all my broken parts,

To become someone new.

Like Frankenstein, I’ve assembled my soul,

A patchwork man, trying to make me whole,

Carved from the shadows of someone I admired,

A crafted heart, a flame rekindled, inspired.

Every scar, a story, every line, a vow,

To forge my own identity, here and now,

Not just sewn together, but coming alive,

In my own reflection, I finally thrive.

Piece by piece, I am remade,

A man born from the choices I've made,

A creature of my own design,

In the mirror, I find what's mine.
