From fervent Saul who fought with might,
Against the Way, he saw as wrong;
A flash of light broke through his fight,
Jehovah’s purpose proved so strong.
“Saul, why do you persecute?” the voice did call,
Blinded eyes beheld the truth in awe;
Through mercy’s hand he learned to fall,
Then rose as Paul, with faith in Jehovah’s law.

Jehovah’s name our strength, our song,
His purpose sure, His promise near;
Though days seem dark, He makes us strong,
He calms our doubt and casts out fear.
Be like Paul, steadfast and whole,

In humble prayer he found new sight,
Ananias spoke, the scales did part;
The opposer now stood bathed in light,
A servant with a steadfast heart.
No sword, no chain could stop his zeal,
He preached Jehovah’s name with might;
Through every trial his hope was real,
