Divine Shield

Silent shadows cast, in the midnight glow

A portal's eye, a lion's stare, darkness starts to grow

I saw a face in the portal, fierce with burning pride

Its eyes like burning coals, filled with hate I can't hide

Kids asleep, spellbound deep, under magic's spell

I try to wake the world around, hear their silent farewell

Standing there in fear, heart pounding loud

Felt the beast drawing near, dangerous and proud

Thank you Jesus, for your divine grace

You shelter me, in your holy embrace

Your love surrounds and shields, keeps me safe from harm

Your mercy wounds the darkness, with your healing arm

Feeling his hatred, I lay back down

A leap, a bound, I fear I might drown

Suddenly a cloud, a blanket of divine light

Covering me entirely, through the darkest night

Grateful for your help, through every trial faced

Forever in your love, I am truly embraced
