Gentle whispers in the wind, soft and slow,

Echoes of a quiet night, stars faint and low.

In the hush of snow and falling rain,

Hearts broken but still burn with pain.

Shadows of ships sail across our minds,

Truth is hidden in the winds that we find.

Can you hear? The pounding through the cold dark—

Sadness dances to a silent spark.

Flowing like the young and restless sea,

A crow’s scar hides beneath the deep blue.

Heartbeat echoes in the still of night,

Like bullets in the calm, shining bright.

Though we're candles lost in the wide wind,

Fighting in someone else's war within.

Drumming the times with pounding beats,
