Seeds of Grace”
Verse 1
Cold stone walls, countin’ final dawns,
Chains still echo what the crowd has drawn,
They call it justice, they call it law,
But truth was the reason I stood in awe.
Every scar tells a story they can’t erase,
I stood for love in a merciless place.
Pre-Chorus
They wanted silence, they wanted fear,
But hope has a voice when the end is near.
Chorus
So don’t remember me with a sorrowful face,
Let my last breath speak mercy and grace,
If my life’s the seed that falls to the ground,
Let it rise in love where hatred was found.
Though the night may claim me, the dawn still stays,
I die sowing hope in these last jail days.
Verse 2
Iron bars can’t hold what the heart believes,
Freedom’s born when the soul won’t leave,
They raised their fists, I raised my prayer,
For every lost soul standing out there.
If my name fades, let the truth remain,
Love survives even death’s domain.
Pre-Chorus
This cell may close, but the world still turns,
From every flame, a brighter fire burns.
Chorus
So don’t remember me with a sorrowful face,
Let my last breath speak mercy and grace,
If my life’s the seed that falls to the ground,
Let it rise in love where hatred was found.
Though the night may claim me, the dawn still stays,
I die sowing hope in these last jail days.
Bridge
Forgive them all, they don’t see clear,
Fear wears power like a crown of steel,
But grace walks free where the guilty kneel,
And love outlives what the sword can kill.
(soft, stripped-back)
Tell the children hope is not a lie,
Tell the broken they were worth the fight.
Final Chorus
So lift your eyes when you speak my name,
Not for the loss, but the love I gave,
From prison walls to the open skies,
Truth still lives when the body dies.
If my ending writes a better way,
Then I leave you light at the edge of pain.
Outro
When the door shuts, heaven hears my plea,
Let grace be the face they remember of me.
