Standing at the fork in the road of my journey
To my left desires wants and all my sins that have tailed me
To right where all the choices that lead to life
Salvation righteousness peace humility with new ways waiting for me
I fell to my knees with a cry filled with sympathy
Begging the Lord to intervene with clarity
Cause all I've known is against the grain
With every choice accumulating it's own pain
Crying to myself standing in my own rain
Lord make this choice clearer to me
Speak with a voice louder than what I see
Take my hand and let me follow as You lead
Oh my Jesus please do this for me
Don't let me fall stray or turn away
Cause I can't take it another day doing things my way
It hurts to much to live it so I'm giving it away
In the shadows on left I see moments that were fun
Alcohol with women clubs and plenty drugs in my daily run
Long nights lit with street lights till they faded in the sun
Bar stools and broken rules living like a fool
A life that was undone barely hanging by a thread
Anything my flesh wanted believe me I kept it fed
One day I realized when every light started to dim
A conversation with an old man that told me about Him
Said His name was Jesus and He can save anybody soul
So I'm laying down my choices at this fork in the road
Lord make this choice clearer to me

Walking on the right side I still stumble and fall
But on the Name of Jesus I can always call

Gotta thank the old man for my new found friend
His name is Jesus and He's the King of Kings
Lord of Lord's yielding all power with
The same hands that kept me when my life begin
