Waiting in the silent room, shadows dance on the wall

Heartbeat racing, breath held tight, waiting through it all

He walks through the door, shadows in his eyes

Hoping he's alright, but the storm won't disguise

Words like daggers, falling hard and fast

In this fragile space, trying to hold on, hoping it'll pass

Can’t you see the fear behind my eyes?

Counting every second, praying for some light

Waiting till he's home, hoping he'll be kind

Standing in the storm, trying to keep my mind

Hoping he’s okay, wishing for the calm

In the chaos, I’m holding on to my own arm

Silence breaking, cracks in the night

Still I wait, trying to hold tight

Love and fear, tangled in the dark

Hoping for a new dawn, igniting some spark

Waiting in the quiet, till the morning comes

Holding onto hope, till the storm is gone
