Forgiveness Again

Lord, I come to You with a heavy heart,

Seeking mercy again, I’ve torn apart.

Got up this morning with hope in my soul,

Promised myself I’d stay strong, stay whole.

But life had other plans, a slip, a fall,

Once again I stumble, I can’t seem to crawl.

I know I keep asking, Lord, I know I do,

But I’m just a sinner needing You.

Forgive me, Jesus, for my weary plea,

Help me find Your grace inside of me.

Jesus, forgive me again, I’m on my knees,

Lord, I need Your mercy, Your gentle ease.

I meant to walk the line, to do what's right,

But I’ve fallen short, I need Your light.

Every time I try to leave my past behind,

I find myself tangled, lost in my mind.

But I believe in You, in Your endless love,

Please send Your forgiveness from above.

Guide my heart, make me new,

Always faithful, Lord, to You.
