Thunder

Shadows tried to break me, chains upon my name,

Whispers in the darkness, feeding me with shame.

But I lit the fire, struck against the rain,

Every scar a weapon, stronger from the pain.

I hear the storm calling, my heart is the drum,

Every step I’m taking, I won’t ever run.

Lightning in my veins, louder than the fear,

Thunder is my power, I’m the one they hear.
