Static on the wire, a tremor in the air

I’m chasing down a frequency that says you’re out there

The constellations shifted, the map is split in two

I’m drifting through the silence of a sky that’s lost its blue

I checked the fuel, the seals, the locks, the bolts along the floor

But I can’t feel the rhythm of a heartbeat anymore
