I was once told, I would find happiness in the place I least expect it. Where is it, can't find it, been searching for years. All I know is that it ain't like pears cuz it don't grow on trees. Still searching for my lost happiness, thought a vacation would solve it, but I guess I was wrong, I got a void of emptiness inside me as I'm singing this song.
Where is it, can't find it, been searching for years. All I know is that it ain't like pears cuz it don't grow on trees.
I searched for it high and low, didn't know where to go, guess like a pear tree I'm waiting for it to grow. but the hollow pits still laying empty waiting to be filled.
Day after day searching for joy, I even bought kids a toy, but the happiness is nowhere to be found.
Where is it, can't find it, been searching for years, all I know is that it ain't like pears cuz it don't grow on trees
Then one day I realized I was looking in all the wrong places. it ain't in the fun you find instead it's deep inside, and all you gotta do it pull it out and fill that pit and that's all there is to it.
Now everyday I spend is filled with joy and I don't even have to go buy some kids toy, because the happiness was inside me all along.
