I get up in the morning just past the crack of dawn start my rusty tractor hear the engine still running strong
got to cut them fields of cotton because cotton won’t cut itself so I got my john deer tractor and I never ask for help
Now I can not ask for more from god then my family and this piece of land the way Cotton grows, working my hands to the bone, running that barb wire and the suns on fire with my needing hands but I what you to know this is where I stand
I farm cotton in the morning drill for oil in the day working hard for my family for very little pay but I do it because I love them and I will do it till my dieing day forever in the USA
Now I can not ask for more from god then my family and this piece of land the way Cotton grows, working my hands to the bone, running that barb wire and the suns on fire with my needing hands but I what you to know this is where I stand
I fry an American flag out on my front porch watch it wave proudly in the wind because I thank god for our country and all the men and women over seas who fight proudly for our country and the freedom we receive
Now I can not ask for more from god then my family and this piece of land the way Cotton grows, working my hands to the bone, running that barb wire and the suns on fire with my needing hands but I what you to know this is where I stand
Now as we all know freedom don’t come free so hold on your loved ones hold them close and hold them tight since tomorrow is not promised when you go to bed tonight
