Hidden behind the shadows, a beast in disguise

A creature of the night, with fear in its eyes

Covered in layers, of mud and fright

Waiting in silence, ready to fight

Or are we caught in your snare?

Smile, monster, you're so wild and free

Teasing our fears, making us see

A tale of terror, or perhaps a plight?

Underneath the mask, who’s shining so bright?

In the depths of the unknown, you dwell

A story of darkness, you tell

But there's a spark inside, a flickering light

Guiding us through the night

So beware this beast, in its thorny shell
