He did not arrive as kings do.
There was no throne, no palace, no welcome fit for royalty.
He came quietly.
Gently.
Lowly.
The Son of God was born in borrowed shelter, laid in a manger. Scripture says, "She wrapped Him in cloths and laid Him in a manger."
He did not arrive as kings do.
There was no throne, no palace, no welcome fit for royalty.
He came quietly.
Gently.
Lowly.
The manger reveals the heart of God. A God who does not demand that humanity rise to Him, but One who comes down to meet us. A God who is not distant from weakness, but willing to dwell within it.
His willingness to come low so sinners could be lifted high.
He did not arrive as kings do.
There was no throne, no palace, no welcome fit for royalty.
He came quietly.
Gently.
Lowly.
The greatest gift of Christmas was never wrapped in gold.
It was wrapped in humility- so every weary, broken, and waiting heart could draw near to His unending love.
Praise be to God through our Lord Jesus Christ!
Amen
