Shadows in My Mind

Walking through shadows, feeling so alone

Lost in the echoes of a silent stone

Every step heavy with endless pain

Searching for hope through the pouring rain

In a world unknown, with fears that collide

Crowds become monsters I try to deny

Memories haunting, shadows at my door

Fighting my battles, afraid to ask for more

Can you see through the tears I hide?

Behind these walls, I’m trying to survive

Every flashback, a scream in the night

Living in the dark, chasing the light

Broken and battered, yet still alive

Wounded but fighting, trying to thrive

No one can see the war inside

Dancing with my trauma, trying to fly

Holding on to flickers of peace

Hoping someday this pain will cease

Until then, I fight alone

Yearning to find a place called home
