Thoughts at night

While I am lying here tonight

Unable to sleep,

My mind runs riot

I review my memories from the past

And I wonder why times gone by so fast

I think of the days when I was a child

Just a careless kid running wild

My thoughts of the future were often shattered

Things of the present didn't even matter

As I grow older, my ways are the same

I had the idea that life was only a game

So, to win, I cheated, but instead, I lost
