But, in the fairy tale you wrote for me

The hero dies in the end

You were not my knight in shining armor

Risking death for your one true love

You broke into my emotions,

took away so many years

Whispering sweet nothings

in persuasive melodies

hiding crossed fingers behind your back

A promise you choose to break begins

I was all in,

even though it was a risky bet

I didn’t call your bluff

Cause your poker face showed no tell,

You cashed in and I was left with nothing

Except for the regret that sometimes comes with trusting
