All the birds are here today,
all the birds together!
Hear them sing and chirp away,
whistling, trilling, bright and gay!
Spring is marching on its way,
full of song and weather.
How they flutter, quick and light,
full of joy and pleasure!
Blackbird, thrush, and finch in flight,
starling, too, with feathers bright,
wish you health and days of light,
blessing beyond measure.
What they tell us, clear and true,
let us keep it dearly:
We should all be cheerful too,
like the birds in skies of blue,
fields and meadows dancing through,
singing bright and clearly.
