Dust Before the Dawn

Boxes stacked up wall to wall

Pictures down in the empty hall

Everybody tired, nerves stretched thin

Tryin’ to hold this whole thing in

Paint on the floor, tools everywhere

Stress and tension fill the air

But a house looks worse before it shines

And love gets tested in hard times

There’s always dust before the dawn

Chaos before the calm comes on

Walls get shaken, hearts get tried

But love keeps buildin’ through the hard times

Every long and restless night

Every sacrifice and fight

If we hold on through the strain

We’ll stand stronger through the rain

Sometimes rebuildin’ hurts before it heals

But in the end, amen, it’s real

New keys hangin’ by the door

Dreamin’ about what this place is for

We didn’t come this far to break apart

We’re buildin’ stronger hearts

So when the whole world feels upside down

And frustration’s all around

God ain’t finished with this home
