Grief's Sting

A silent sting, one death brings,

Left me shattered, bruised and battered.

Heartfelt grief destroyed my reef,

Left me alone, broken as I roam.

Friends ruthlessly taken, devestation shall awaken.

A feeling I deny, attacked as I cry,

My life filled with rage as it escapes its cage,

Wishing this didn't happen, praying I did more,

Sadness rises, ripping my core,

Though there is hope, remaining friends help me cope.

I believed I accepted, but more death follows,

Alone once more, crying in the hollows.

The one who broke my heart, shall feel my wrath,

I dare not part until he pays for the aftermath.

The past can't be changed, but can be accepted,

A similarity grief shares.

Linger, we become deranged.

Accept, and what's broken, repairs.
