Someone broke inside of his heart and left the door broken on their way back out
now now there ain’t no talking to him he’s to far gone inside of the bottle we call jack Daniel’s
he’s on the floor crying singing I’m so lonesome
and no helpin him cuz his hearts been broken on the day that she walked out his life
now everytime you see him there’s a bottle in his hand and he don’t no re-up his tears fill his beer
he knows deep down he the one that pushed her out that door
all them late nights lyin n fightin she couldn’t take no more
now he sittin there mumblin “yeah I guess I gave her the reason…”
sayin love don’t die for nothin it die for how you treat it
he keep starin at the wall like he waitin on it to answer
whisperin how he swore he’d change but never had the chance, or
maybe he had chances but he wasted every last one
now he payin for the past with a bottle and no backbone
he said “lord I know I messed up, that woman was my blessing”
“and I traded her warm heart for a cold drink and bad decisions”
ain’t nobody to blame but him and the man in the mirror
and the more he says it, the more his voice get shaky and clearer
now the nights get long n heavy like an old freight train
rumblin through his chest every time he hear her name
but he still pours another shot hopin maybe it kill the pain
even though deep down he know it’s him that caused the rain
