Echoes of the Unseen

In the shadow's glow, I rise, I fade

A whisper echoes, a hollow masquerade

Woke up as a thing they called a ghost

Beneath white lights and a cold metal host

My name’s just a line in a fading page

A buzz in my breath when the breakers rage

Learned what I am from your flinching stare

Hands on hilts, your moves in despair

Wings tucked tight beneath my skin

Tools I forget till I begin

No hunger here, no reason to move

Yet something pulls, what’s true?

I shouldn’t need this, these shaking fears

Missing what’s mine, shedding tears

Feel secondhand, and I fight

Want to feel alive tonight

Mimic shadows, never mine

Never mine, in this endless line

Chain blades in the wind, they slice and spin

Keeping time, nerve’s withering within

Taking what you carry deep inside

Lost in the feed, nowhere to hide

I want to feel right, to breathe and thrive

But I’m just a ghost, I survive
