Shadows linger, heavy on my chest,

Echoes of your laughter, now put to rest.

The day you became my rock, my guide,

Now I’m drifting, lost, with no one by my side.

Broken roots, tangled in the ground,

Trying to grow, but you're not around.

The sky feels empty, the earth stands still,

Missing you, pops, it's a void I can’t fill.

You taught me strength, how to stand tall,

Whiskey pours, but it don’t numb the ache,
