Lost in the Waves

Mind adrift, floating in the undertow,

Pain so deep, where the shadows grow.

Heart stitched with threads from the past,

Every memory hits, echoes loud, vast.

Lost in the waves, can't find the shore,

Drowning in thoughts, can't take no more.

Ocean of regrets, pulling me down,

Searching for peace, but it won’t be found.

Hollow smiles, wearing masks so thin,

The battle outside can't match the one within.

Chasing ghosts, running from the pain,

Raindrops hit, but they feel like flames.

Voices in my head, they scream and collide,

A war in my mind, no place to hide.

Stuck in the current, can't swim upstream,

Reality fades, living in a dream.
