Playing for a change

It's been a while since I wrote or sang a single note. Been down for quite awhile some may know. I spent a good part of my life in institutions I didn't like. I often prayed for a better life.

So I'm playing for a change if it'll give you another day give you hope and a chance to smile again. Give yourself this day a little hope is on the way. So now let's play it for a change.

I've been down with loneliness, been down with the sadness and I play my songs to ease my troubled mind. Sad but it's true life's been hard for me and you. But soon that sun will rise again.
