Dark Angel's Penance

Darkness swells, shadows call, in this realm I stand tall

Wings unfurled, spirit's thrall, seeking what must fall

I will reap this realm, claim their shadows, no one spared

Sacrifice my penance, blood and pain, for love declared

Ashes falling, cold embrace, darkness in my soul

For my dark angel, I pay the toll

Eyes like blood, burning bright, searching through the night

Silent tears, lost in flight, chasing fading light

Spread my wings and fly, to find my love in the shadowed sky

Take their soul, my sacrifice, for pain and love's blood price

Dark angel, hear my plea, set the suffering free

Until the pain is gone, I will hold on

Damn the lover’s soul, for the sake of the whole

In the darkness, I patrol, seeking to console

My wings dark and wide, broken but I still fly

To save them in the night, beneath the moon's cry
