Pretty Nails Blues
Sean did my nails, oh what a sight,
They sparkled and shined in the salon light.
But then came the drama, I’m telling you true,
My middle finger’s bleeding what’s a girl to do?
Jenna’s on the scene, trying to make it right,
Holding paper towels with all her might.
Somebody said “Vicks!” but it’s nowhere near,
So I’m stuck here bleeding, year after year.
Well, the others are sore, but I’ll power through,
’Cause I want pretty nails — yes I really do!
Every little finger’s aching just a tad,
But beauty is pain, so I’m not even mad.
I’ll sit like a queen, hand up in the air,
Dripping with style — and maybe despair.
They say diamonds are forever, but I think it’s true,
A manicure’s worth a little boo-boo or two.
One day I’ll laugh, tell the story with pride,
Of the day my middle finger bled, but I didn’t hide.
Jenna’s still pressing, Sean’s looking stressed,
But I’m still determined to look my best.
Forget the Vicks, I’ll survive somehow,
With my bleeding finger and my nails wow wow wow!
