In the beginning we were

all hurt Crying out

You came and asked if I needed help

I said I'm fine others need you more

Time heals all wounds I used to say

But some scars don't just fade away

Others moved on they found their way

But I'm still fighting every night

And when they ask I say I'm fine

Just fine I'm fine all the time

Smile on my face but there's a cost

Inside I’m broken feeling lost

Years went by everyone's grown

But my pain’s still heavy like stone

Shattered torn apart at seams

Yet still pretending to be living my dreams

I keep on smiling through the pain

Even as it drives me insane

All I want is to be okay

But I don't know the words to say
