Brighter than darkness

I was lost walking through the night

Chasing shadows couldn't find the light

Every step felt heavy like a weight

I played for peace but it came to late

As a child I thought the dark would fade

That growing up would take the pain away

But the darkness only grew it seemed

Till I was drowning in a broken dream

But when I called he heard my cry

The Lord reached down and lifted me high

The darkness tried to stealy soul

But his light has made me whole

Brighter than the darkness his love shines

In the darkest moments I see his light divine

No longer bound now I am free

His light shining, shining in me

I was blind but now I see

His grace came and set me free

Through the pain through the tears

He wiped away all my fears

Every trail I faced alone

He turned my heart into his throne

Now the dark has no hold on me

For his light is all I need to see

But when I called he heard my cry

The lord reached down and lifted me high

The darkness tried to take control

But the Lord has made me whole

Brighter than darkness his love shines

He died for me now I'm re-sproutes

Oh, the storm may rage

But I'm still standing on his name

Every fear every shame

Is washed away by the lamb who came

His light is shining

Brighter than the darkness

His light means more to me

It's his promise
