Edge of the Night

Shadows creeping in, the night feels so cold

Tired eyes watching the dark unfold

Pain cuts deep like knives in my chest

Lost in the silence, aching for rest

Every breath’s a struggle, tears start to flow

Feeling like I want to let go

If I vanish, would you be better off?

Lost in the hurt, my mind’s been torn

Holding on to what’s left of me

Drowning in this misery

Can’t sleep, can’t breathe, this hurt won’t fade

Falling like a shadow, lost in the shade

Jumping off the edge, into the night

Waiting for rain to wash out my fight

The tears fall like rain, a silent cry

In this darkness, I wonder why

If I could vanish, set myself free

Maybe then you’d see what you mean to me

So I remain here, hurting inside

Not sure how much more I can hide
