Thank You for Today
Woke up with the sun on my face
Another breath, another day of grace
Don’t need much, just love and light
Got a heart full of peace and my eyes on the sky
No time for the weight of the past
Let it go, let the shadows pass
Every step is a brand-new chance
To sing, to dance, to lift our hands
Thank you, Jesus, for the morning light
Thank you, neighbors, for the smiles so bright
Thank you to the stranger who held the door
Every little kindness means so much more
We’re alive, and what a gift it is
In a world like this, how blessed we live
No room for hate, no time to cry
Just love and faith — and the bluest sky
I see beauty in the smallest things
In laughter, in tears, in the joy life brings
Grateful hearts are never alone
Every soul I meet feels like home
I won’t dwell on what I can’t change
Turn the page, rearrange the frame
What a wonder to just exist
To hold the moment, to feel like this
Thank you, Jesus, for the morning light
Thank you, neighbors, for the smiles so bright
Thank you to the stranger who held the door
Every little kindness means so much more
We’re alive, and what a gift it is
In a world like this, how blessed we live
No room for hate, no time to cry
Just love and faith — and the bluest skies
I’ve walked through storms, I’ve known the rain
But I see now, there’s joy in pain
Every trial taught me how to see
Just how lucky we can be
Thank you, Jesus, for the breath I take
Thank you, life, for every step I make
Thank you, world, for the love I find
In every face, in every sign
We’re alive, and that’s enough
To fill this heart with endless love
No room for fear, no space for doubt
Just peace within, and praises shout
So here’s to today — let’s lift our eyes
To the beauty all around, to the endless skies
We move forward, one heart, one voice
In this gift of life, we all rejoice
Thank You, Jesus… thank You for today.
