The cold wind Whispers through the trees, as echoes of simpler times bring me to my knees. a prayer every morning, to the good lord above, bring me home safe to the ones i love.
i check on my kids as they sleep under the blankets so tight, soft breaths in the glow of the night. I tiptoe to the kitchen to kiss my wife goodbye, I can smell the coffee brewing, and see the tiredness in her eyes.
Rolling out at dawn, before the rooster cries, the work day starts with sweat in my eyes. Boots on the ground, ropes flying high, this grind is my passion, it will never die. With bulls and horns, we'll dance till it's done, Underneath the blazing wild, western sun.
I'm working hard till I see the sun fall, With blood on my hands, I'll answer the call. In the mud and rain i find my pride, Through the ache and pain, I won't run and hide.
We work to live, not live to work. Chasing those moments, we have a life to live. Cold beers in our hands and a home full of love, the blessings we have , we thank the lord above. With struggles we have we tighten up our boots, I work hard for my family, we have strong country roots.
Counting the hours, watching the sky, As shadows grow long, the worries fly high. With blisters and bruises we carry the load, the path may be tough, it's the only one i know.
i kiss my wife and kids goodnight, lay my burdens down. In this simple life, I wear my crown. A prayer to the lord for protecting me, getting me home safe to my family, with a thankful heart and a loving wife, I grind everyday to give us a better life.
I grind everyday for a better life!!!
