Once a Year

God showed His love, so pure, so bright,
His mercy shines through darkest night.
He gave His Son, our souls to save,
His promise stands beyond the grave.

That solemn night so calm and still,
Christ shared the cup, obeyed God’s will.
“Do this for me,” His gentle plea,
To keep His love in memory.

Once a year we pause to see,

The chosen ones hold hope on high,
To live with Christ above the sky.
With faith and joy their path they trace,
They long to see their Savior’s face.
