The pain of humanity from what we spend on war and the hope of what we could build with love and wisdom. If we stopped investing in weapons, the world would be different.
The Price of Peace, Seeds of Tomorrow, and the intelligence of humankind in destroying the dream of true equality.
[Verse 1]
In a universe of steel and cold glass,
we count bills for the arsenal.
Two point seven trillion a year,
buying silence, sowing deceit
While a child and his humble family are locked in the shadows, hunger overwhelms him, and he has no school
so that bread doesn't get lost across the border, they prefer weapons for wars
We spend on fire what's missing from the table, and they die sick with false promises from politicians, their campaigns for votes, and they rise to power and become greedy
their greed is the shadow that penetrates their souls, and the people, well, they return and deceive them
[Chorus]
Oh humanity, open your eyes at last
You are always the same, gold in missiles, it's a sad end
One hundred days of truce, a war without end, they speak of peace and also of unity, and behind the scenes, with arrogance, they form betrayal
They would heal the earth, they would give education
Let's exchange tanks for classrooms, food, and education
Let's take away that bitter cross from the world
With a good heart and good attitude
life would be our only mission, let's value God with Good devotion
[Verse 2]
In all nations, poverty reigns, a lack of hospitals and schools, with much sadness, land for the farmers to sow, so that all people may have bread on their tables.
Thirst ends, wounds fester.
The cries of humanity never fall silent.
May the dreams of the people never be defeated, may they open their eyes, may they consent and value their votes.
It's not a lack of money, it's a lack of faith
in the God who looks at us and tells us, "Why always wars?" Greed and avarice, always the same, with their black hearts, destroying the people.
[Bridge] (With strength and reflection)
Greed, avarice, the ego of power
sell death at dawn.
But there is a force that begins to grow,
that of conscience and reality upon awakening, and holy God forever to love.
Humble leaders of the Holy Spirit
who will lift the people from their bitter weeping.
[Chorus]
Oh humanity, open your eyes at last!
that Gold in missiles will destroy us all.
A hundred days of truce isn't the solution if we go back to the same old thing: pure destruction.
They would heal the earth, they would give education.
Let's exchange tanks for classrooms of light.
Let's remove that bitter cross from the world.
With kindness in command and a good heart,
life would be our only mission.
[Outro]
May technology be a bridge and not a wall,
may it be the shelter of a safe child.
We thank you for this friendship,
for seeking justice and the holy truth.
(In a whisper)
More life, less war, more heaven on earth.
