Midnight Shadows

Walking through the shadows, under a hood of night,

Darkness around me, hiding from the light.

Leaves whisper stories, in the chill of air,

Seeking for the truth, in the midnight stare.

Eyes behind the glasses, look beneath the mask,

In the silence, hear the questions I ask.

Footsteps in the dark, but I stand still and brave,

Lost in my thoughts, no, I won't cave.

Underneath the hood, I’m just a man trying to understand,

Facing all the fears, with a steady hand.

In this world of shadows, I find my way,

Walking alone, into the break of day.

Darkness may fall, but I hold on tight,

Searching for dawn, through the night.

Voices in my mind, telling me to stay,

But I move forward, come what may.

So I wear the hoodie, keep my secrets inside,

Journey of a lone rider, on a midnight ride.
