September 11…

A morning we will never forget.

For every life that was lost,

For every family left waiting,

For every first responder who ran toward danger—

We remember you.

It started like an ordinary day,

Then everything suddenly changed.

Smoke filled the New York sky,

And a nation watched and cried.

Some never made it home that night,

Some said goodbye without knowing why.

So many dreams, so many names,

Forever remembered through the pain.

But through the darkness, heroes came,

Running toward the smoke and flames.

Firefighters, police, EMS,

Giving everything with every breath.

We will remember, we won’t forget,

The lives we lost, the heroes we met.

When everybody else was running away,

Our first responders ran into the flames.

We will remember every name,

Every family carrying the pain.

Twenty-five years may come and go,

But in our hearts, their light still glows.

Some gave their lives on that very day,

Others carried the scars for years afterward.

Through sickness, tears, and memories,

Their sacrifice became history.

From Ground Zero to every home,

No grieving family stood alone.

Different colors, different faiths,

But on that day, we stood as one.

God, comfort every family,

Hold every heart still grieving.

Give strength to every survivor,

And peace to those still healing.

For the brave who answered the call,

For the innocent lives we lost,

May their memory never fade—

We remember them today.

We will remember, we won’t forget,

The lives we lost, the heroes we met.

Through every tear and every prayer,

Their memory is still right here.

New York strong, America stand,

Heart to heart and hand in hand.

September eleven, forever we say:

We remember. We honor. We pray.
