Only the Cross

Oh, the love of Jesus, so deep, so wide

Guides us to the cross, where our hope resides

Peter walked on water, trusting in His name

Matthew’s mercy, sinners, He came to reclaim

John’s love, divine, the Word that became flesh

All these stories show His love, so fresh

There’s no other way, no other greater truth

Only through the cross, salvation’s proof

Jesus, the way, the truth, the life I believe

He’s the only way to heaven, in Him we receive

By His grace, through His love, we’re saved and free

The cross is the only way, the only key

Romans 5:8, His love was shown for us

John 14:6 declares, He’s the way, the truth, the fuss

Acts 4:12, salvation’s found in no other name

Only Jesus can save, He’s always the same

So I’ll walk on this road of faith and grace

Fixed on the cross, until I see His face

The only way to heaven, His love — our song
