I don't know why I even try

Seems like when I do, I always cry

I opened the door to my heart

She grabbed ahold and tore it apart

Told myself that she was the one

After last night I'd say we're done

I thought she was different but she's just the same

She took it all cept my last name

Now I'm standing here with my hat in hand

First time I saw her, I fell in love

Thought she was an angel sent from above

Worked up the courage to say that first line

That's when I told me, one day she'd be mine

Just can't believe that I have been so wrong

All I'm left with is this damned old song

Lonely in the dark in this old Ashley chair

Empty bottles

Cranked up throttle

I gotta get away
