Can’t Keep Me Down
by Robert Ramage
Intro (Monologue)
I’ve been pushed, doubted, broken,
but every night has a sunrise waiting.
You can try to hold me back,
but you’ll never stop what’s meant to rise.
---
Verse 1
You can’t keep me down, today’s a new day,
I’m stepping out of shadows, finding my own way.
The weight on my shoulders is starting to clear,
’Cause I’ve learned the hardest roads still lead me here.
Verse 2
I’ve walked through the fire with tears in my eyes,
But the embers of my courage began to rise.
Every scar is a story, every bruise a reminder
That a heart like mine grows stronger, not blinder.
Verse 3
I will rise like a phoenix and burn through the night,
Turning every heartbreak into fuel for the fight.
You thought I’d stay broken, but watch me appear—
A warrior reborn when the smoke disappears.
Verse 4
It only gets better; the darkness won’t last,
I’m done letting pain hold me down from my past.
You can push, you can doubt, but I’m shifting the gears,
You can’t keep me down forever — I’m done with the fears.
---
Chorus
You can’t keep me down, I’m stronger than before,
Every fall just teaches me to rise a little more.
I’m standing on the edge of a brand-new frontier,
With fire in my chest — and hope ringing clear.
You can’t keep me down… I’m still here.
---
Bridge
Let the night come, let the storms rage on,
I’ll still be standing when the shadows are gone.
I was built for battles, I was shaped by tears,
And I’ll climb every mountain that once felt like fear.
---
Outro
You can’t hold me back — that time has passed.
This rising strength is built to last.
I’m on my way up, and the path is clear:
It only gets better from here.
