A sonnet you sang me
A beautiful melody it had
Oh how you love me
Oh how you treasure the time you send with me
The landscapes of your mind filled with our memories
You say my hair shines like a golden light
My skin gently kissed by the sun
My eyes, the color of misery, but bring you delight
My lips pervade with sin
The natural light of the sky captures my feature and brings them to life
As you sang you asked me to dance
As we danced your hands got needy
Your lyrics became shorter and quieter
Your body closer to mine
Before a kiss I say no
Maybe you didn't hear me
I know that isn't true
Perhaps I want to spear myself from reality
Your hands now against my bear skin
I can not run, you are stronger than I
I can not threaten, who will believe me over a man
My options are limited
I turn into a statue
I will not consent
I will not play along
I hold my breath, close my eyes
For it will be a long night
A rooster brings the morning
I do not have to wake, I did not sleep
You are gone
Left in the night, like an animal
You cured your starvation and fled
Your sonnet flew away
And with it beauty, love, time, and memories
My hair like and tangle of roots and vines
My skin like a winters night
My eyes, not only the color of misery, but now resemble it
I now see that my lips were not sinful
Your sonnet a lie
The beauty is darkness
The love is dishonest
The time wasted
The memories damaged
Your hair of snakes
Your skin of thorns
Your eyes of pride, you think you do no wrong
Your lips are not sinful
None of you is sinful
You are sin.
