Midnight Skies

Dark skies above, heavy with doubt

A whisper in the night, trying to break me out

Shadows creeping closer, crawling in my mind

Battles I can't fight, left alone to fight the time

A flicker of hope, just inches from my grasp

Falling through my fingers, a blast from the past

But I close my eyes, scream into the dark

Refuse to be broken, ignite my spark

Even when I fall, I’ll rise again

Fight these demons, break the chain

Hold on, I’m not giving in

This storm inside, I’ll drown the sin

World may end, but I won't break

Fighting shadows, for my own sake

Close to the edge, about to fall

Hear a voice inside, telling me I’m tall

Darkness tries to claim my soul

But I’m resilient, I make me whole

Falling flat but standing tall

Won’t give in, I’ll risk it all

The world’s ending, but I still believe

In the fight, in the hope I conceive
