Romantic Czech symphonic poem; Smetana-inspired orchestration with singing, singing strings and lyrical woodwinds. Gentle solo clarinet over soft strings opens; horns and harp paint broad landscapes. Middle section swells with full orchestra and timpani for majestic peaks, then recedes to a tender, shimmering close.
