Many years ago a new regiment was born, 
The Australia, new Zealand army corp,
Just young boys sent off to war,
They landed on a far away shore,
Now they fought and died for us,
And we keep them in our hearts,
Cause they made the ultimate sacrifice,
So we can have this way of life,

Every year he puts on his best suit,
His Medals on standing next to you, 
He bows his head and says a prayer, 
For all of his fallen friends, 
As our two nations mourn,
